Meh. Next Mockup Please.

A month or so ago, I talked about the much-rumored tablet coming from Apple. Today, MacRumors has an article, including a mockup and potential feature set, of what such a device may respectively look like and contain. First, hopefully, that’s not how it would look. Secondly, I’m rethinking the the desire to include a phone as a useful feature.
More than likely, if I buy one of these, I’ll already have an iPhone – why do I need another one. The form factor of the tablet is such that I won’t ditch my phone, but if I can tether the phone connection to the tablet (e.g. for the speakerphone purpose I mentioned) – that would be pretty slick. The tablet’s WiFi would trump the need for another phone connection and I would need my tablet as an active device letting my iPhone operate as a passive device when using in a meeting context. At the very least, I need the ability to not have a phone if I already have one.
That is of course, if it even exists as a potential product.
