Google Wave Nominations Like App Store Process

Google Wave Nominations Like App Store Process

October 9th, 2009  |  Published in The Cloud

Via a co-worker’s nomination (thanks @michaelcollier!), I got my Google Wave invitation last night. The nomination was submitted on October 1st and the invitation came through about a week later. Another co-worker was also nominated about the same time, and he got his invite a few minutes after I did. So all those who have been nominated, think of it like the iPhone App Store approval process. Except that maybe you won’t be seemingly arbitrarily rejected.

I’ve only been able to play with it for a couple of hours thus far and the collaboration benefits are obvious. This weekend I hope to be able to get into it enough to start to see all the possibilities (including writing a bot or two).
